Rainbow Bag
My latest pandemic stash-buster project is a bag I made from Yarn Bee Chloe in the color Pick of the Bunch and some leftover black wool.
I bought this ball of Yarn Bee Chloe quite a while ago, because I was attracted to its vibrant colors. It is made of 70% wool and 30% viscose and feels surprisingly soft and light. At first I wasn't sure what to knit with it. I just knew that, instead of making horizontal stripes, I wanted to maintain the same circular color pattern in the end product as in the ball.
I randomly started knitting a circular shape, then added the black yarn for contrast, and finally decided to skip the last section of the circle and to make it into a bag. After making two partial circles, I knitted them together with more black yarn.
To make the bag sturdier I ended up felting/fulling it. In addition, I added an icord handle, which I attached with recycled D rings. I love how it turned out and am thinking about lining it with fabric.
