Stash-Buster Ankle Socks

For stash-buster socks #2 I used DROPS Fabel in the color Bourgogne for the legs and feet and Ruby Red for the cuffs, heels, and toes.  Bourgogne is one of my favorite Fabel colors with its vibrant reds that looks best knitted in simple stockinette stitch. It ended up pairing very well with the skein of Ruby Red I had at home. Fortunately, I had just enough yarn for a pair of ankle-length socks. I love how these socks turned out and with the rolled cuffs and asymmetrical toes they fit me like gloves.

Hand-knitted socks with rolled cuffs and asymmetrical toes laid next to 3 lemons

Since we have been ordered to stay home to slow the spread of the coronavirus in our community, knitting has been keeping me sane. I love my family very much, but being stuck together indoors every single day for multiple weeks has been challenging for all of us. The upside is that spending more time together has been helping my family get along better. In addition, I am now having more hand-knitted socks. These lemons are here to remind me of the saying, “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade“. 😄
