Capitán Hat

I like hats with brim. So when I saw the pattern for the Capitán hat by Rosi Garmendia, I knew that I had to make it. I found a half skein of black tweed yarn in my stash that I thought would be perfect for this project. The pattern was written for chunky yarn and mine was worsted-weight, so I altered it a little bit to make sure that the hat would still fit me. However, it was quite an easy and fast project and I had fun knitting it. I especially loved the construction of the brim, which turned out surprisingly sturdy even without the addition of any reinforcement.
