I realized that I really enjoy knitting hats. They are quick and satisfying projects and a good way to use up partial skeins of yarn. And just like socks, it is difficult to stop making them.
I had some leftover DROPS Sky, a lovely lightweight yarn containing baby alpaca, merino wool and polyamide, in lavender color. I used it to make the GENEie cable hat, which was designed by Rebecca Roush Brown. I love the subtle DNA helices on this hat and, even though I am not a hat person, I think I will keep it for myself. It is so light that I can't even feel it on my head.
