One more pair of socks, but…

I finished one more pair of socks, but I am getting bored with making just socks. I think I will keep knitting socks, because they are quick, easy, and very portable, but will do different types of projects as well. For these socks I used DROPS Fabel in the color Berry Dreams.

Since the temperature is getting lower, I am feeling inspired to make a warm jacket/cardigan. I have some DROPS Eskimo in black, so I decided to knit a pattern written specifically with this yarn. Winter Orchid by DROPS Design is a lovely but simple pattern that I am planning to follow with some small changes. I have never knitted a pattern with the yarn recommended for it and not having to make conversions and calculations before I begin knitting feels like a luxury.

You may have noticed that lately I have been using mostly DROPS yarns. It is actually my first time trying DROPS yarns too. Last spring I discovered the Wool Warehouse, which is an online store that sells yarn at a very affordable price. It had a DROPS sale and I ordered yarn for multiple projects. I don’t really like buying yarn without seeing and touching it but figured that the price was low enough to take a risk. So far I am very pleased with them. What is your experience buying yarn online?
